Etude House AC Clinic Daily Gel Lotion

Etude House AC Clinic Daily

Gel Lotion

This is another product from the Etude House AC Clinic Daily Lotion sample packet that I really loved, the other being the toner form the line. Besides the claims it made, the gel consistency of the product really got my attention. My skin cannot really handle thick creams, as it breaks me out, but having a gel consistency and claiming it will resolve my acne troubles sold me over. Even though I have oily skin there are times when I feel parts of my face feel dry, I hoped this lotion would solve this issue for me.

Description (From Etude house ebay)

Formulated with salicylic acid and hinoki cypress extract, ac clinic gel lotion clarifies and soothes troubled skin while maintaining oil/moisture without aggravation. And it is non-comedogenic.

My Thoughts

I got this product to help fight my acne, now I don't have severe acne but I always will have tiny pimples and bumps on my face. I got this product with the hope of it fighting the acne but still providing moisture. Now I cannot say with a hundred percent certainty that the lotion is somehow getting rid of my acne as it does not provide instant results but I do feel that it is doing something in that department.

I use this product in the morning after I have cleansed and toned my skin. One thing that I realized instantly when I use this lotion is that it has a calming effect on parts of my face that feels as though it will breakout in acne. When I put on the lotion I feel as though it provides a prevention mechanism more then clearing. Now, I cannot say for certain that this product will treat acne-prone skin but who I do know is that it  is a great lotion for those with oily skin that does not feel heavy or suffocating on the skin. The lotion does provide a decent amount of moisture, but keep in mind I am not a great judge of this as I have never really suffered from dry skin. Another great thing about this lotion is the texture, it does this magical thing where skin seems smoother and more even.

One tip I would give to anyone using this is to use a very small amount otherwise your face will feel sticky the whole day. It took me a good week to figure this out but once I did I would get compliments on my skin on days when I just had this lotion on.

Packaging

Like with the rest of the line, this lotion also has that alcoholly medicinal scent which can be overwhelming for some but I don't mind it too much. The biggest beef I have with this product is the packaging. The glass container makes it feel luxurious but the way that you have to dispense the product is a pain in the behind, it is soo unpractical. You have to continuously force the product down the bottle to get it, so once there is the last little bit left it will be a DAMN exercise to get it. I feel I would like this product so much better if had a pump or it was in a squeeze tube.

Summery

Pros

$16~17 for 150ml on ebay

Value: 4/5 because you could get others that have more product for less, but not many that target acne-prone skin

Repurchase? yes, but not anytime soon, as I would like to try other acne fighting lotions.

Quality: 4/5 because it calms acne but does not provide amazing results
